Long Overdue News (and an opportunity)

In Uncategorized on July 28, 2012 at 12:21 am

Alright, so if you haven’t heard by now, I have graduated to the next level of the blogosphere.

As of late June, I had been brought on by Bucksketball, the Milwaukee Bucks blog for the TrueHoop Network at ESPN.com.

It was a tremendous opportunity that I just couldn’t pass up.  However, some issues arose in regards to this site.  Unfortunately, devoting all of my attention to Bucksketball has made it very difficult for me to find time to post stuff on here (yes, this is where the opportunity comes).

I’m totally willing to let someone take the reigns of ScribbleManor.  From all of the guest writers I’ve had on here, one thing has been very clear to me: there are some incredibly talented writers around here that don’t exactly have a platform to display their work.  I’m not saying this blog was gangbusters, but it’s far and away better than your average diary/journal.

So, if you have any desire to become the new editor-in-chief around here, feel free to contact me.  All the possibilities for contacting me will be below.

It’s been a privilege to write for all of you, and I hope you enjoyed what we put out.  I hope that somebody felt the same way, and is willing to take over and get this back up and running.  If you still want to read my stuff, check me out at bucksketball.com.  Catch ya guys later.

Ah, the times, and how busy they can be.  Sorry friends for posting so infrequently.  Hopefully school can serve as an adequate, place-holding excuse for the lack of new material here.  However, I’ve been working on a bucket list of things I want to do before I do.  I figured I would at least share my progress with you guys.  Let’s waste no more time.  Here’s my list (note: crossed off items have been completed, obviously). Scribblecast Episode Two-Here Comes The Pain

In Uncategorized on April 3, 2012 at 6:36 pm

An “emergency” all pro wrestling episode of the Scribblecast coming at you! Josh Koebert (hey that’s me) and Sam Gillmer talk Wrestlemania and the RAW the day after (aka Monday aka yesterday) and all the goings on in both shows. In the middle Sam’s power goes out, so that was fun. Plus, we curse a little, mark out a little, super fun times. Click the link to have the pain brought to your ear places.

That One Night When The Buried Life Guys Changed My Life

In Television, Uncategorized on March 29, 2012 at 12:28 am

by:  Eric Buenning

That strapping young lad in the middle of this picture is, in fact, yours truly.  The guys flanking me in the pic?  Well those guys would be Dave Lingwood and Jonnie Penn from MTV’s The Buried Life ( actually, MTV axed the show this year.  I’ll never understand why.)  These guys are half of the amazing quartet that has trekked across the country, sharing their story and touching many lives along the way.  This article will cover only one night of that journey, but it’s a night that I can definitely say changed my life forever. Why I Love John Green (And Why You Should Too!)

by: Steve Romenesko

This summer a friend of mine told me about something cool that she loved called vlogbrothers – two brothers, John and Hank Green, that a few years ago decided to cut off all textual based communications for one year and communicate through face to face means at least once a day via a YouTube channel.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hey there everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that because of finals stressing out just about everyone, there will be limited posts on here, if any at all.  There’s too much to get done these next two weeks, and I don’t want you all to think that we’re being lazy around here.  School comes first.  If we do get anything submitted, we’ll try and put it up as quickly as possible, but don’t expect much.

Hopefully we can start putting stuff back up in the few days before Christmas and shortly after that.  Thanks for your (future) cooperation and understanding.

In lieu of Oktoberfest….

Let me first start out by saying that I sincerely hope that everyone has a phenomenal time celebrating the festivities this weekend, but that they do so in a manner that isn’t threatening to themselves or others.  With that being said, how about a compilation of drunk athletes and celebrities???
