GIF Exclusive: A sneak peak into Brewers’ batting practice

In Random/Humor on June 16, 2012 at 12:38 am

So, I can’t say where and when this was taken, but I can promise it’s accurate.  I scored insider access to Milwaukee Brewers’ batting practice.  Outside of tonight’s nail-biting victory, the crew’s offense has been a bit suspect of late.  We the fans thought it was bad during the game, but the team’s struggles are far worse than we could have ever imagined.

Below is a video I was able to capture while on the field with the team.  The results are hilarious to some, but frightening to management, I’d imagine.  Take a look for yourself.

The Weirdest Thing I’ve Ever Seen: The Orvillecopter

Being a frequent troller of the internet, you’re bound to find some really weird stuff.  Usually, said “stuff” ranges anywhere from odd inside jokes to impossibly abstract humor or art or…whatever.  But then there is that rarified air, where odd just isn’t good enough.  I’m talking about things that are so unique and so random that they are borderline disturbing (no wait, not just borderline, actually and legitimately disturbing).  Ladies and gentleman, meet “Orvillecopter.” Read the rest of this entry »

Worst Song on YouTube Week 2: The “Him? Really?” Edition

In Music, Random/Humor on February 19, 2012 at 12:34 pm

by:  Eric Buenning

This week is a bit different because the song isn’t an abomination, but the artist is just so perplexing.

Here is your worst song of the Week:

If you don’t know who Lou Williams is, you are in the overwhelming majority.  Lou Williams is Jrue Holiday’s backup on the 3-seed  Philadelphia 76ers coached by Doug Collins.  I intentionally threw some “fat” on this sentence to add to the questions:

1. Who’s Lou Williams still?

2. Who’s Jrue Holiday?

3. Philly is a 3-seed?  Do they still have Iverson?

4. Doug Collins?  Who?

Nevertheless, Lou Williams is pretty unknown.  He’s a decent backup, but I wonder who gave him the chance to lay down tracks.  I mean, how often does the following conversation happen:

“Alright, we need to get a big name.  Who we got?”

“Well, Lou Williams is available.”

“Lock it down.  Immediately.  We’ve gotta have him.”

It just doesn’t happen.  Jeremy Lin would be a better get (even though I’m absolutely certain he has no rap talent.  Then again, I’ll never question Jeremy Lin.  Ever).

Enjoy Lou Williams, readers.  This may be the only time you’ll see him in person.

Things Mary (And What You Might Have) Learned from Smeagol/Gollum

Before we begin, I think it is appropriate to warn you that if you aren’t familiar with this most famous CG quasi-gremlin (played by Andy Serkis), you should probably find something else to read. You should also find a cliff, because if you don’t know the Lord of the Rings, you don’t know life. Read the rest of this entry »

By now, everyone probably has seen the Youtube hit Sh*t Girls SayIf you haven’t, click on that link embedded in the text.  Since that orginal video, many spin-offs have been made and many laughs have been shared.

What’s more funny than things (in this case, white people) say? Things they do (and do terribbly for that matter).  The things is, nobody is going to tell a white person to not do these things, because they are just too damn funny.  What are these things you ask? Presenting:  Sh*t White People Can’t/Shouldn’t Do!! What’s Your Favorite Cereal?

In Random/Humor on January 17, 2012 at 8:13 pm

So, we were just bored, and I (Eric) was just curious about something.  What’s your favorite cereal?  This isn’t a competition for any underlying research I’m conducting; I’m just genuinely curious as to what the masses think is the best.  Below is the poll, and make sure to vote and to share this with your friends, closer friends, super-duper (almost adhered) friends, and anybody else you want to include.  Good luck to your cereal!

First off, my apologies for the gap in between articles.  Between finals, saying goodbyes to friends, Christmas shopping, and packing, there just wasn’t time to sit down an write something new.  Now that we’re all home, it’s time to start this back up. Read the rest of this entry »

Eric’s “Thanks-giving”

In Random/Humor on November 8, 2011 at 2:11 pm

I don’t want to wait until Thanksgiving to start dishing out some things I’m thankful for.  I don’t need a holiday to tell me when to appreciate things.  No siree.  Also, I really needed to write something.  What perfect timing!! Read the rest of this entry »
